Choosing major is a problem that all college students will face. Some students tend to choose the major they are interested in but some students choose the major that is more useful to them in the future. When you are choosing your major which factor you consider most, interest or future or others?

  1. Choosing a major is very important for everyone, even for a high school because the college application will always ask for it. If students cannot decide yet, they do not have to be panic; they can always stay as undeclared and take General Education courses during their freshman and sophomore year in college. Choosing a major should not be rush, students should take their time to seriously consider what is appropriate to them and what kind of job field they want to enter in the future. Also, students should do research to explore the major and job fields they are interested in. While choosing major is essential, do not be afraid to be wrong. If a student decided to major in A, but ending up not liking it, they still have chances to change their major. If they already know what want to study is even better, they can take courses that fulfill both the GE and their major-related requirements. Finally, just keep in mind that there is no right or wrong, but appropriate or not for oneself when choosing a major.

  2. I believe choosing a major could be difficult for some students because they don't know what they like or what they are interested in, but in the other hand there are people tat are prepared and have set their mind to something and they know what they want to do in life. these tips could be helpful for someone who is undecided and are still exploring their options. In my experience, it took me a while with what I wanted to major in, but later on in high school I took a class that helped me make up my mind and I believe I will stick with this decision.

  3. Choosing a major has always been a big question for all generations, from our parents, siblings to us and the motivations have also changed due to the modern society, but there are also many opportunities and chances for all of us to able to discover the answer. By attending colleges, we can all participate in many activities that we might like, or we can observe our colleagues who might walk on the same path as us, or the other who already know their major. Therefore, each of us will somehow learn and figure out a clue for our future. In addition, in my opinion, the motivation that we should all consider is not about the money or family pressure, because in a long term, it is us that make our own story, build our own life and no one and none of the non important things should held account for it
